Hallowe'en!

Ah, Hallowe'en!

"What is with that superfluous apostrophe?", I know many of you are thinking. It belongs there, really. But, Halloween is right, too. Anyway....
As is typical in this neck of the woods, there were no pumpkins to be found for carving in the days leading up to the big day. The girls were happy to decorate these foam ones.
Lochlyn had a party at preschool, and since we knew her trick or treating costume would be too hot, we dressed her as a pretty little butterfly princess for school. She loved it!
So, for the second time in my memory, we have not had snow on Halloween! But it was chilly chilly for trick or treating. Lochlyn chose to be FiFi the poodle, and she was super cute! We weren't going to bring Kinsley trick or treating, I think she is too little. Lochlyn knew she would have to share her goodies.
I did get a little costume for Kinsley for 75% off, but we aren't really sure what it was. And she hated it. She preferred the witch hat I bought for myself!
Lochlyn was so excited to go out, and at the first house we met up with the two little witches next door. Just kidding, the 11 year old twin girls are very sweet. The three of them went door to door for the first half of our adventure. Lochlyn was a little scared of some of the decorations, but the girls reassured her along the way. Very cute!
We stopped at home halfway through, to get a warmer jacket for Lochlyn, and some gloves for Dad. Kinsley, who had been at home with Grandma and Grandpa, had decided that she was no longer happy with thhat arrangement. So, we bundled her up, and brought her along in the stroller!
At one house, there were some creepy decorations, and a Hallowe'en soundtrack playing. Lochlyn was nervous, and hesitated going up the sidewalk. I could see the owners of the house had spotted us, and were coming to open the door. Suddenly, the skeleton let out a creepy, scary laugh. Lochlyn screamed, and ran down the sidewalk just as fast as she could! We probably shouldn't have laughed...
